For speech generation, real time signal, generation is the important requirement. By fulfilling it a speech output system can transform text into speech automatically without any lengthy processing. Some application needs only a vocabulary for it. For example telephone answering machine.

Speech Analysis:

Speech analysis serves to analyze who is speaking, what has been said and in which pattern or mood the speech is delivered. It helps us to find out the identification of the speaker and to understand or recognize the speech that is what has been said.
The computer identifies the speaker using an aquatic finger print. Aquatic finger print is a digitally stored speech probe of a person. The speaker has to say the certain sentences into a microphone; the computer gets the speaker voice and matches, it with the digitally stored speech to identify the speakers. . This can lead to speech control typewriter, a translations system or a part of a work place for handicapped.
Another important area of speech analysis is to find out the speech pattern with respect to how a certain statement was said. If a person is angry a speech sounds differently than in calm mood. An application of this analysis can be lie detectors.
